The Kiwi Coast is getting right behind Save Kiwi Month this October to celebrate Northland kiwi, have some fun and encourage people from all walks of life to get involved in caring for kiwi.
The Kiwi Coast is working with the Kiwis for Kiwi Trust, Kiwi North and Kuwi the Kiwi to provide a series of fun kiwi-themed events and activities over the month of October.
Kiwi Kids Quiz
The first activity is a Kiwi Kids Quiz based at the Whangarei Library. Clued-up kids can pop into the Whangarei Library to see the Kiwi Coast display, pick up a quiz and go in the draw to win prizes including family passes to Kiwi North. Download the quiz or Fill in Your Answers Online…
Colouring Competition
We are running an all-ages Kuwi the Kiwi colouring competition with prizes of autographed Kuwi the Kiwi books. Download Colouring-in Page here…
Kuwi the Kiwi Book Signing
Then, on Thursday the 29th of October Kat Merewether – author of the Kuwi the Kiwi books – will join the Kiwi Coast crew at the Whangarei Library. We’ll find out about Kuwi’s latest adventures and Kat will be available to sign copies of her books and engage in some special Kuwi the Kiwi fun activities.
Come and Talk to us at the Library
Finally, in the last week of October, the Kiwi Coast Crew will be outside the library from 10 – 12 each day to share kiwi info and talk to people about what they can do to help kiwi thrive.
Keep an eye on the Kiwi Coast website and Kiwi Coast Facebook page to find out more about each Save Kiwi Month activity as October unfolds!
