Our Principal Partner
In 2017 Kiwi Coast and Northland Regional Council became formal partners with a five year Partnership Agreement. This was renewed in 2022.
The Partnership achieves mutual biodiversity and community goals. Kiwi Coast brings to the partnership a cost effective, community driven model for connecting communities and enhancing Northland ecosystems, while NRC brings resources for enabling community-led pest control and financial support for the coordination of Kiwi Coast's 'Nature Network'.
Working together, Kiwi Coast and NRC can ensure biodiversity gains are sustained and the momentum of community, iwi and hapu led environmental stewardship can successfully continue. Working in unity also allows both Kiwi Coast and NRC to leverage further funding and show a strategically coordinated regional approach.
