Registrations have opened for the upcoming three-day taiao hui at Waitangi that has kiwi as a way of bringing great tangata together.
If you’re looking after ngahere or might want to start, this hui would be really worthwhile.
Hear Taitokerau korero from: Dion Pou, Matua Roger Kingi, Ngatikawa, Pete Graham, Andy Mentor, Ngairo Tahere and more.
And there’s speakers from other parts of the motu: Dr Carolyn (Kim) King (Waikato University), Ian Tarei from Te Teko, John Bissell (Backblocks Environmental), Michelle Impey (Kiwis for kiwi) and Moera Hughes from Pureora ngahere.
There are also day trips to choose from to visit pest control projects within Puketi Forest and Opua Forest with Bay Bush Action; pest free Urupukapuka Island with Project Island Song; Waitangi River trip and Haruru Falls walk with Brad Windust and others and a rongoa trip/workshop along the Waitangi kauri track with Donna Kerridge and Stella Kake-Schmid.
