Camp Kiwi invite you to join in their annual planting day at Whangaruru on Queens Birthday week end; Sunday the 2nd June 2019 starting at 10.00am.
Over two thousand plants have been donated to by Trees That Count and Forward Whangarei.
Check out the photos from previous years planting days. https://www.facebook.com/campkiwinorthland
If you are keen to help plant, please bring a spade, coat and gloves but leave your dogs at home as this area is a kiwi sanctuary. Lunch will be provided.
The planting site is at Admirals Bay which is part of the Whangaruru North Head Scenic Reserve at the very end of Whangaruru North Road. From the Bland Bay settlement follow the Whangaruru North Road for 3 kms to the DOC Puriri Bay Camp Ground. Keep driving for another 700m through the DOC Camp Ground and up over the hill to the only house (white with a brown roof) which is at the very end of the road.
Please let Clea Gardiner know if you are able to come, either by email cleaandglen@gmail.com or phone 027 4837 050 so that enough lunch can be organised for everyone!
If the weather is unsuitable on the Sunday, we will plant on the Monday.
Please forward to your friends.
We would love to see you there.
Cheers, Clea
